MAKE OUR PEN DRIVE/USB DRIVE BOOTABLE

We use Command Prompt as  default windows program to create a bootable Pendrive.

Requirement

We require at least 4 GB minimum capacity for Windows installation.

Flash Drive at least of 2 GB

STEP 1: USING DISKPART COMMAND

1. We need to run Command Prompt as a administrator . To do this, we need to find cmd by typing 'cmd' in the  search box on Windows start menu. After finding 'cmd' right click on it and select" Run as administrator".

2.Type 'diskpart 'on Command Prompt and click enter .Wait till Diskpart program run.

3. Type' list disk' to view active disks on your computer and click enter. Active disk should be shown as disk 0 for hard drive and disk 1 for USB flash drive with its total  capacity.

4. Type 'select disk 1' to determine that disk 1 would be processed in the in the next step then click Enter.

5. Type' clean 'and click Enter to remove all of data in drive.

6. Type 'create partition primary ' and click Enter .Creating a primary partition and further recognized by windows as partition1.

7 .Type' select partition 1'and click enter .Choosing the partition 1 for setting up it as an active partition.

8.Type active  and enter . activating current partition.

9. Type format fs=ntfs quick and hit Enter . Formatting current partition as NTFS file system quickly.

10. Type exit and  press enter. Leaving DISKPART program but do not close the Command Prompt because we need it for next process.

STEPS 2:CREATING BOOT SECTOR & COPYING INSTALLATION FILES

1.By default, Command Prompt's active directory for Administrator Permission is on C:\Windows\sysrem32>.We will navigate command prompt to set DVD (f) as its active directory changed to F:

2. Type 'cd boot 'and hit enter. active directory changed to F:\boot>.

3. Type ' boot sect/nt60 d:' and hit enter. creating boot sector on D:rive (USB flash drive).

4. Type exit and hit enter to close the Command Prompt. Until this step we have made bootable USB/Pen drive successfully ,and the flash drive is ready to be used as a boot media.

5. We just need to copy the whole installation files contained DVD installer to flash drive to install windows from a bootable USB drive. To do this open the Command Prompt as in pervious steps . Once it opens, type ' xcopy f:\*.*d:\/E\H\f' and then press Enter. wait till all the files in the DVD installer copied .Now bootable drive is ready to be used for installing Windows from flash drive and your bootable Pen Drive is ready.

HOW TO BOOT YOUR ANDROID PHONE IN SAFE MODE

Android is one of the most stable operating systems, but it is also prone to performances issues, and this issues can occur with every android user. Safe mode allows you to start your phone with only the essential services and apps. Booting into safe mood will confirm if these performance is due to any old application or newly installed third party applications.

Most easy method of booting is using the Power menu by following steps

1 Note some older devices and few newer can't access safe mode this way.

HOW TO RECOVER A FILE IF ACCIDDENTLY DELETED

Accidental deletion of importance files often put us in trouble. But by using data-recovery tool like Recuva this problem can be solved. It can be downloaded for free from http://www.piriform.com/recuva.

Files that are permanently deleted remains somewhere on hard drive as 'dead files'. They exist there for few days till overwritten by new files. Hence once realized that deleted file was important, it should be recovered as soon as possible.

Once Recuva is installed, its wizard starts automatically. Its simple and straight forward. Following its instruction on screen we need to press Next button.

Next, we need to select the type of file we want to recover with its specific details(if possible), as it enhances the chance of file recovery.

We then need to mention the location where the file existed, before it was accidently deleted. If specific information is not available we can even enter the entire system and then click on the Next button.

Recuva will search for all available dead files and analysis them to figure out how damaged they are. If the dead file is already overwritten, recovery chances are almost negligible. If not, they will be easily recovered.

After selecting the desired file to be recovered from the list available, click on Recover button.

Hence within few seconds the file will be recovered and we can save them anywhere on our system(preferably at some other location).

Thus it brings  to conclusion that with Recuva the next to impossible task of re-obtaining permanently deleted file can be possible.

HOW TO RECOVER DATA IF YOUR COMPUTER CRASHES

To cope up with situations such as network errors, crashes , frozen browsers and others, there is a very useful browser extension called "Lazarus",  available in both Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. It automatically saves all the data into any online form in the browser and allows to recover the saved data as and when required.

Once Lazarus is installed, the next time we are filling out any field on form of a website, a small icon comes up in the extreme right end of the input field. It indicates Lazarus is  running in background and saves everything automatically that is being typed in.

In case of sudden computer crashes or network errors, there lies possibility of losing data. In such case we can reopen the browser and click on the Lazarus icon in the input field to recover the data.

Added advantage of Lazarus is data security. It is possible to set password to recover the saved data from Lazarus. Moreover it can also be disabled on the websites from which data recovery is not required. All these options can be accessed by clicking on the Lazarus icon on the input field and then Lazarus Options.

Hence with Lazarus in browser neither do we have to worry about data lose due to fault nor about data security.

HIDE FILES INSIDE THE PHOTOGRAPHS

We can hide our confidential files inside the photos, it is very easy method. The method of hiding files inside the photos is known as Steganography.

One such tool available for Steganography is S-Tool. Its free to download.

We need to identify the confidential file that we want to hide and  the photo inside which we wish to hide it.If the size of the confidential file is large,the photo that we choose should be appropriately large in size as well.

Start the S-Tool software on your computer and drag the photo on the software tab. Inside the S-Tool software the photo will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen, the s-tool will inform how much data can be hidden inside that particular photo. Drag and drop the file you wish to hide inside photo.Set password to protect your hidden data and click the OK button to continue.

S-Tool will create an identical copy of the photo and will display it on the screen within few seconds.The photo's will be similar and cannot be differentiated by human eyes.Right click on the photo created by S-Tool and save it  with any file name of your choice anywhere on the system.The size of the photo might vary depending on the file we choose to hide.But since no one knows the original size of the photo this would not create any problem.

HOW TO SEND HUGE FILE THROUGH EMAIL

While sending attachment through Gmail we have to meet a common problem related to size of email. The size limit of Gmail is 25 MB , due to which people have to split their file attachment into multiple mails. We can send these large size email via other option such as drop box which is third party file transfer websites. But the problem is third party file transfer websites have issues with their security and most of them are chargeable.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Google Drive is our own hard drive in google cloud. If we have a Gmail account, it gives us 5 GB free space on Google Drive by default. It is possible to buy more storage space if 5 GB is not enough . By using Google Drive not only can we backup all our important files in case of loss, but also transfer it to our friends. Google Drive help us to upload complete file or specific files from our computer. It can be accessed through http://drive.google.com. It's  the most secured method for transferring the files.                                                                                                                                                                            Once we login into Google Drive we can immediately start uploading files or folders to our google cloud by clicking on uploading button.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Neither their is limitation on the number of files we can upload or its related size to Google Drive as long as space is available. The status of the uploaded file can be monitored in the upload status window which is  situated at the bottom right corner of the screen. Added to all these we don't even have to wait for complete updation of a particular file in order to start uploading another file. Its possible to simultaneously upload as many files as we want.

Once a particular file is uploaded click on Share link to manage the sharing setting. We can keep file private, public or share it with specific people by simply clicking on the change link under who can access.
